Coastal Carolina Events – Let’s Have Some Fun!
Brunswick County’s geographic span from Wilmington to the South Carolina border and its close proximity to the Myrtle Beach area makes it one of the hottest real estate markets on the East Coast. The area is loaded with new and fun adventures! Because of this, there is always something to do in the Brunswick County area. April 3rd – 7th: “Azalea Festival” – The North Carolina Azalea Festival is Wilmington’s annual community celebration and the largest festival of its kind in the state. Founded in 1948, the Azalea Festival has emerged as Wilmington’s premier event. This is an event that you don’t want to miss! Click here for more information.
April 4th: “Cowboys Beach Bash” – for all of you die-hard Dallas Cowboys fans, this is “must-attend” event. It will be held at the Sand Ocean Club. Click here for more information.
April 13th: “Pancakes With the Easter Bunny” – 7am to 10am – Highway 55, Main Street, Shallotte. Enjoy All-You-Can-Eat pancakes and sausage. Visit Paws-Ability for more information.
April 13th: “Easter Egg Hunt” – 11 am to 2 pm – Calabash Community Park, 568 Persimmon Road. This is a ‘weather-permitting’ event. For more information, click here.
April 13th: “Ocean Isle Bunny Hop” – 1pm to 3pm The event will be held in the lot adjacent to the Museum of Coastal Carolina. This is a free “trunk-to-trunk” Easter event and will be open to the public. Click here for more information on the event.
April 13th: “Third Annual Carolina Soulfest” 11am to 5pm. This event will feature wellness, yoga, music, art and movement. The Carolina Soulfest will be held next to Movement Works. For more information, visit their Facebook page here.
April 18th – 20th: “Brunsco Spring Fling” This spring fling will be held at 349 Whiteville Road in Shallotte. There will be live music, rides, food vendors, and games. April 19th – 20th: “Southport Spring Festival” – Franklin Square Park – Enjoy entertainment, handmade arts and crafts along with food vendors. In addition, you can participate in a 5K race. For more information click here.
April 19th – 28th: “4th Annual Horry County Fair” – Myrtle Beach Speedway – For the 4th year now, this is one of the Coastal Carolina events that has become a favorite! Join the fun with rides, food, games, live entertainment, vendors and a petting zoo. In addition, you’ll get to see Robinson’s Racing Pigs! For more information, click here.
April 20th: “Family Day at Ocean Isle Beach” – 10 am to 2pm – Museum of Coastal Carolina. Visit the museum where young, budding scientists can learn how to measure shark teeth, decorate sea turtle eggs and more. Don’t miss the live animal demonstrations! Click here to learn more.
April 26th to 27th: “Wine and Swine BBQ Cookoff” will be hosted by the Silver Coast Winery. There will be vendors, music, food and drink. In addition, there will be wine tastings and a wing competition! For more information, please click here.
April 26th – 28th: “3rd Annual Food Truck Festival” – This is being held in Myrtle Beach. There will be entertainment and, as the name implies, plenty of food! For more information, click here.
April 27th: “2019 Woodsong Porch and Art Stroll” – 10am to 2pm – 529 Sylvan Street, Shallotte. Enjoy a stroll taking in local artist’s works and live entertainment. In addition, your ticket price will include complimentary wine and beer tastings. Click here for more information and tickets.
April 27th: “A Taste of Calabash” – 11am to 6 pm – Enjoy this fun-filled day that will feature food, food and more food from the “seafood capital of the world”. There will be music, vendors and children’s activities. Click here for more information and tickets.
